WHY HAWAII

A Hawaii honeymoon vacation offers an escape to a truly romantic destination. The natural beauty alone creates an ideal paradise to celebrate with your new partner. The Island of Hawaii also known as “The Big Island” is twice as large as all the other Hawaiian Islands combined.  It is not only the largest, but also the youngest of the Hawaiian Islands and is filled with spectacular contrasts: mighty volcanoes, deserts, waterfalls, the Puna Fern Forest, black sand beaches and never ending open plains create a colorful backdrop for a dream honeymoon.

QUICK TIPS
•  FLYING TIME: Approximate flying time from Los Angeles: 5 hours*

When To Go

The year-round temperature doesn\'t vary much. At the beach, the average daytime high in summer is 85°F (29°C), while the average daytime high in winter is 78°F (26°C); nighttime lows are usually about 10°F cooler. But how warm it is on any given day really depends on where you are on the island.

What To See

Experience Oahu\'s most visited attraction-Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial, the scene of Japan\'s surprise attack which brought the USA into World War II. Free tours take visitors by boat to the memorial spanning the wreck of the Battleship Arizona where 1177 men died.
Explore the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, one of the natural wonders of the world. At 4103m (13,677ft), Mauna Loa is the largest single mountain mass in the world, while at 1200m (4000ft), the still-active Kilauea\'s steaming vents and frequent eruptions provide an unusual (and safe) spectator sport. The volcano is continuously erupting, and can be seen entering the ocean at sea-level.
