When To Go

Depending on the timing of the summer, start sometime in June and last through at least part of August, the summer months are very hot about 110° F every day.  The other months are far milder and it\'s a dry heat. In the winter, it even gets chilly at night.

What To Do

Desert Botanical Garden
This is one of the best gardens you will ever see, possibly because it's so full of unexpected plants that come from this area.
Heard Museum
This private museum houses one of the best collections of Native American art in the country.
Taliesin West
Years after coming out to Phoenix to consult on the design of the Arizona Biltmore in 1927, Frank Lloyd Wright decided that the foothills of the McDowell Mountains would be his winter home away from home.

What To See

Grand Canyon - More than 5 miilion people a year visit the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The main attraction there is the Grand Canyon IMAX Theatre, which is highly recommended. Also there are two main drive on the East and West Rims, numewrous trails to investigate.

Phoenix Zoo -  Centrally located in the Phoenix metropolitan area, its offers aminal exhibits, special events, and outdoor recreational activities.

Petrified Forest National Park - Has one of the world\'s largest and most colorful concentrations of petrified wood. It also displays 200-million -year-old fossils, archeological sites, and historic structures.
