WEDDING DAY BLOOPERS YOU CAN AVOID

There’s always the dreaded thought of tripping over your train in front of a hundred eyes, but here are some slip-ups you may not have considered:

1) Make sure that “something blue” underwear is not so royal that it’s evident through your white dress.

2) What could be more romantic than the breeze of the ocean during your vows? Definitely not a breeze that seizes your vows, your hairpiece, or those flimsy skirts you insisted your bridesmaids wear.

3) Even the most talented digital artist may have a hard time editing out that massive blob of spinach between your teeth. You’ll be photographed more than you realize, so keep those sparkly whites spotless!

4) If there will be readings during your ceremony, bring extra copies just in case your readers forget in the midst of all the madness – you don’t want the groomsman attempting to paraphrase Shakespeare.

5) Consult with your DJ beforehand to ensure there will be no stark surprises. Grandma may be more than unsettled if “Baby Got Back” suddenly blasts through the speakers.

NEW! COMMITMENT CEREMONIES

Symbolic/commitment ceremonies can provide a meaningful alternative to a traditional legal wedding, and can be a great way for same sex couples who are unable to wed in their region to pledge their devotion. Distinctive Honeymoons recently put together a large collection of preferred hotels, resorts, and cruises around the word that offer the option of a commitment ceremony at their properties. Why Romantic Travelers Love Greece

Visit some the most marveled ancient treasures in the world as you embark on your  journey into Greece. Bask in Mediterranean sunshine, cruise the Aegean Sea, and explore sites filled with stories and multi-sensory experiences. Greece has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and some of the most charming villages.

Consider a trip late April to mid-June to prevent a rush of tourists and to experience wildflowers in bloom, crisp nights, and the height of many festivities. Popular activities for honeymoons, anniversaries, and romantic escapes include guided tours through Olympia, wine tours in Crete and Santorini, and museum-hopping in Athens followed by a spa treatment in a luxury hotel to put your muscles at ease. Top it off by spending a day or two soaking up rays in the quiet Greek Islands.

Costa Rica: Explore wildlife sanctuaries, dive in crystal clear waters, or take a “tree top” tour. Some of the best resorts in Costa Rica include El Silencio Lodge & Spa, Hotel Punta Islita, JW Marriott Guanacaste Resort & Spa, and Paradisus Playa Conchal Resort. These properties are all immersed in lush nature with luxury amenities.

Belize: Go on a river safari, experience an afternoon bird-watching, or picnic on a pristine beach.
